Assistant Professor of Statistics and Machine Learning,
Department of Statistics, University of Warwick

I joined Department of Statistics, University of Warwick as a (tenure-track) Assistant Professor of Statistics and Machine Learning. And I am a visiting researcher with Foudation of Machine Learning System (FLMS), directed by Prof. Robert Williamson, at Tuebingen AI Center, University of Tuebingen.

Prior to that, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher in Statistics at Department of Statistics, University of Oxford, hosted by Prof. Gesine Reinert and Research Associate at Keble College. I complete my Ph.D. in Statistics in 2021 from the Gatsby Unit, University College London, advised by Prof. Arthur Gretton and Prof. Aapo Hyvarinen.

Research interests

My research interests lie in the statistics and machine learning. Specifically, I work on hypothesis testing, comparing distributions, Stein's method, and network analysis. I am currently particularly interested in the notion of entropy and the connections between different approaches. The approach is via translation for better understanding.
